All Done at the Fair

Tyler and Grandma Nancy are walking to the gate at the end of the day... It was a very fun day and the boys were amazing. Our boys were such wonderful little guys and were such troopers all day.... The kids were in the stroller for part of the day and the other part they walked around. They loved exploring and trying to grab at things on the ground.. These little guys sure keep use on our toes at all times... These back pack leashes sure work great, and before out trip daddy put a piece of paper into each of your back packs in case you would get lost...It has our contacnt info and a very precious little note!!!!!
Tyler's note has our contact info and then says "I can't talk much but I am loved, please find my Mommy and Daddy"..... And Trevors not has the same contact info and then reads "I like to explore and I guess I lost my dad this time. If you could call him I would like that. His name is daddy, but he goes by Paul... These were to cute!!!!!

Tyler had so much fun walking as we headed towards the gate, and even held onto grandma nancy's had like a big boy... Trevor walked for a little while, but ended up getting a ride up on daddy's shoulders... It was a great day and Mommy and Daddy were so proud of our little boys!!!!
The kids had fun posing as the Simpson’s… I wasn’t sure if they would be tall enough for their heads to fit into the faces, but they were.. It was very cute… In the education building they were taking kids fingerprints and also pictures so that if a child is ever lost you have all the info you would need. This was a very neat idea.. We had both kids done and with this they also did the kids heights and weights.. Our little Tyler is know 25 pounds!! And Trevor is 23 Pounds.. No wonder my arms at sore at the end of each day.. That is a lot of weight to be lugging around all day!!!!

Tyler our little bucket head and first taste of cotton candy

The boys love French fries.. We ordered a large bucket of fried and polished off the whole thing!!! They were delicious… After we finished the fries, Tyler wanted to carry the bucket, so daddy put it on his head like a hat.. We called him our little bucket head for the rest of the day… It was so precious and Tyler was so excited about his new hat!!!!!
The kids also had their very first taste of cotton candy… Grandma Nancy asked the cotton candy man if he would make the kids 2 small sticks for the kids.. He did, which was so fun for the kids.. Tyler wasn’t to sure of it at first, but all it took was one lick for him to realize that this stuff is good… Trevor was content sitting in daddy’s lap chewing on his… The place were we stopped to do this also had some neat Indian dancing.. The boys both loved the sounds the costumes were making. It was very neat to see…

Birthing Center and Trevor's 1st pair of sun glasses

The boys had a lot of fun in the birthing center with all those baby animals. Trevor headed over to the baby chickens, which he just loved. He stuck his finger into the cage and the little chicks came right over to him. He just kept his finger in the cage and let the little chick peck at his finger.. It was so precious!! He was so excited and would giggle as the chick pecked at him… It was so so so neat!!! They boys also saw some adorable baby pigs… Tyler pet one of the little pigs, which he thought was very neat… but we thought we should keep Trevor’s little hands away from the pigs since he loves to pat things on the head.. The boys also saw a baby cow, which had the softest nose ever… and there was also a cute baby colt, that was so cute… The kids also saw a baby lamp that had just been born.. It was a very neat experience for the kids.. It will be so fun taking the boys to the fair next year, since they will be able to do even more things…..

In one of the builings, there handin gout sun glasses. Trevor though this was so neat.. He tried them on for a few seconds, and then tried to put them up on his head like his daddy does.... It was very cute.. Tyler was taking his first nap at this point, so he missed out on trying on his first pair of sun glasses, but we picked him out a green pair, that is also very cute......

STATE FAIR TRIP

The kids had a blast at the state fair this year!!! Just 16 months old and already hooked on those delicious cheese curds… What a great way to start out the fair!!! Tyler and Trevor’s expressions were priceless when daddy handed them each their first cheese curd.. It was almost like you could hear them say yummy just through the expressions they made. After their first snack of the day, we took the kids through a few of the fun buildings, where the kids were able to walk around a little.. Those back pack leashes sure worked out great for keeping track of the kids.. There were so many neat statue carving at the fair.. I had the kids sit in front of one that I thought was the most beautiful. It was a mother bear with her baby cub, and the words “new life” were carved into the base of the statue.. It was very precious.. It was very tricky capturing this picture, since there was way to much for the kids to see, that they didn’t want to sit still very long…
Mommy had some fun early in the day also... We were over at the Marines booth and daddy thought it would be fun for me to do the women's bar hanging.. Which was hanging for 70 seconds and you get a t-shirt.. I wasn't to sure about this, since that seems like a long time to have your chin above the bar... But I finally gave in and decided to give it a whirl... It was so so so hard hanging up there, but I DID IT!!!! I held on for about 73 seconds!!! I was so proud and was so glad that I did this!!!! It was neat having your daddy cheering me on and it was very cool getting that t-shirt!!!!!!!

Boy’s Adventure Stories:

This morning, Trevor Monkey decided he would attempt climbing the baby gate into our bedroom and actually made it over…. Well, he did a head dive over the gate, but he did make it into our bedroom… He was so proud of himself that he laid on the floor and started clapping…

And just last week I ran downstairs quick and came back up to find Trevor giggling and clapping as he sat on the kitchen table!!!!! He first climbed onto the kitchen chair and then onto the table.. In this short amount of time, he also experimented with the salt and peppershakers. He found that if you shake them you could make a HUGE mess…. And he also found that an open box of cereal makes an even bigger mess when you tip it over!!!!!!!! Tyler is also becoming a little monkey…

I went downstairs last night to put in a load of laundry, which I seem to do almost every day!!!! And when I came back up, Tyler was giggling as he rocked in my rocking chair… Yes, the boys are able to get up on almost anything…. Tyler learned the other night that if you hang to far over on the edge of the couch you will end up doing a head dive, which is exactly what happened…I saw the whole thing happen in slow motion, which almost gave me a heart attack!!!! Luckily he didn’t get hurt, just VERY scared…

Trevor and Tyler's first Ice Cream Cone

Yesterday at Cub I found some fun ice cream cones that come in different colors and flavors. I dished up the cones and took the kids outside, since I knew this could get messy... It was SO SO SO adorable... Trevor took a few bites out of the end of the cone and then walked right over to their picnic table and took a seat... Tyler also started with the back of the cone and ended up tipping all of his ice cream onto the deck... Not to worry, Bagels was right next to him eager to clean up the mess..... After the boys finished, it was time for baths... Everyone was VERY sticky!!!!

Tyler got his first knee scrape a few weeks back and just as his wound healed, his brother got a scrape on his check…I am actually a little surprised that Trevor hasn’t had more scrapes with all the adventures he goes on every day… Seems like he is hanging from something or climbing up something ever day!!!!!!! The kids squeezed behind their beds and our little monkey Trevor decided it would be fun to climb up the backside of his crib… Well, that didn’t seem to work out as he had planned… He someone slipped and landed scraping his whole check… Our poor little guy is know all black and blue on the one side of his face… He was so upset after it happened… He seemed more upset about not being able to make it up the crib than from the pain.

Under water world adventures

This past Thursday was the boys first adventure through Under Water World. It was so much fun watching the kids expressions when they saw all the neat sea creatures. Tyler and Trevor had a blast walking through the exhibit and they thought it was very cool watching the fish swim above their heads. Tyler gave out a few adorable giggles and pointed to the large fish when they swam near the glass.. It was precious!!!! Trevor was banned from touching any of the baby sharks after the fun he has grabbing onto the fin of a baby shark at the county fair....( ha ha).... After under water world, we took the kids to the park for a little while.. It was a fun day, but we were all very pooped by the end of it.... It had been a VERY restless night with the kids the night before... Both kids decided to wake at 2:00 in the morning and had no intentions of going back to bed for a while.... It was a very very long night!!!!!

Tyler's great night and Trevor's early morning project

Tyler slept through the night and didn't even wake up intil 10:00 this morning..... Know this would be perfect if I could get both boys on this same schedule!!!!! This is what I call sleeping in!!!! But of course Mommy didn't get to sleep in at all... My little Trevor was all energized and ready to play at 5:00 this morning!!!!! I was so tired and decided to let him play while I layed on the couch.... I had dripted back to sleep and when I woke, Trevor found the time to clean out the whole hall closet!!!! He threw Q-tips all over the kitchen floor and made the biggest mess you could ever imagine!!!!!!! There were towels, shampoo bottles and everything else that is in the closet all over the kitchen.... I told Trevor that next time he felt like helping mommy clean out, he needed to do a project that hadn't already been done just a week ago!!!!!!! I guess it is time to put on those child proof door locks so he isn't able to get into the closet again.....

5 Year Anniversary

WOW, I can't believe that it is our 5 year anniversary already!!! Alot of things have taken place in these past 5 years- we both went from living in the city, to creating a wonderful life out in the country. It truley feels like we are living the dream!!! It is hard to remember what our lives were like before we had children. The main thing I remember was that we had no problem staying out until 2 in the morning. Know it seems like that 10:00 mark hits and we are both ready for bed. ( ha ha)... These 2 boys had brought a whole new meaning of family into our life, and that is somthing that is so special. You will never find a dull moment around our house. Just when you think the evening is winding down, we have the enjoyment watching the boys chase eachother around the kitchen or receive a warm hug from our little guys. These are the moments what life is all about and everyday is a gift!!!!!
We are living the dream out in the country with our 2 wonderful boys and

Isanti County Fair

Today Grandma Nancy came up for her weekly visit, which is so wonderful. I just love having her up at our house and I know she loves spending time with her grandbabies. We all went to the Isanti County fair this evening. The kids LOVED the petting zoo. It is so neat watching the boys expressions as they seem the animals and hear the differnet animal noises. After the petting zoo, we decided to find some food. We decided on some cheese curds and a huge bucket of fair fries... Gosh they were so delicious!!!! The kids love fries and they really love cheese curds... It seemed like we would hand Tyler a cheese curd and within seconds he would be reaching his hand out to use for another one.. It was very precious!!!!!! The Mall of America Under Water world also had a display set up at this years fair... They even had a small shark in an aquarium, which people were allowed to touch..... Tyler went first and gently touched the sharks back.. He was a little scared, but he was a very brave boy... and then it was our little Trevors turn... Trevor is our little more adventurous child. Daddy help Trevor over the tank to pet the shark and within seconds Trevor grabed onto the sharks back fin... I think he just about gave the women who was in charge a heartattack.... but daddy was able to get Trevor to realise his grib.... I think we need to work with Trevor on the using one finger thing for touching and petting animals.....

First day of daycare

Well today was the first day I watched another families kid. I wasn't sure what to expect, but things went great..... The little girl was great with Tyler and Trevor and she seemed to love being at our house. The whole nap time thing needs some work, since everyone seemed to go down at different times!!! I sure wasn't able to get a single thing done around the house today, but it was sure nice to make a little money while being at home all day..... By the end of the day I decided that I would NEVER teach our kids the work Doggy.... That seemd to be her favorite word, other than "no" and gosh I was so tired of hearding doggy by the end of the day.... I have been working with the boys trying to get them to say Dog and then both are know starting to be able to say that. I figure that Bagels would be a little harder to learn, so we are practicing with just dog for knoe....... Tonight became very interesting as Trevor showed me that he had learned to swing over the edge of the couch. I couldn't believe that he was able to do this... I guess he saw his little friend do the same thing today and decided that he wanted to be try... Well, he almost gave me a heart attack!!!!!!
