Tyler and Trevor had their first adventure of sledding today.. Trevor had a blast getting pulled around in his sled, but Tyler wasn't happy one bit... I think part of it had to do with the snow suits.. Tyler didn't like his hands being all confined in his attached mittens...Hopefully next time will go much better...

Tyler and Trevor with Santa Clause
Precious Boys

18 MONTHS OLD
My precious boys, you are 18 months old today and Mommy can’t believe it!!!!! Time has flown by so fast and you both have grown so much in these past 18 months. I am so proud of you both and love you both so dearly…I am so lucky to have been able to spend these 18 months with both of you. I am able to see and experience everything with you on this wonderful journey. Every day you both seem to learn so many new things. We are finally past all the digging in the cupboards and you are really starting to use your words that make this so much easier. When you just aren’t able to tell me what you want to say, you both point and have these most precious expressions that sometimes say more than words. Tyler, you have learned that kittens grow up just like little boys grow up. Your kitty Tobby is not longer a kitten. He has grown so much that you can no longer carry him all around like you loved to do. Whenever we go outside to see Tobby, you still try so hard to pick him with frustration, as you try to understand why he has become so large. You find that it is much easier carrying around your stuffed kitty, which meows when you squeeze him. You walk all around the house making meowing noises as you squeeze your kitty so tight. The smile on your face is so innocent and dear.
Tyler you have the most wonderful, caring personality. When it is bedtime, you grab your brother’s blanket and bring it to him, which is so dear. Then you both find places on the couch and we cuddle you until you fall asleep. This is one of the most special moments for us during the day. You love to sing soft songs as you fall asleep. These songs are so soothing, that me and your daddy could almost fall sleep holding you, hearing your songs. It feels so cozy cuddling you little ones and these times are so special to us. You love to sit on the floor and read me and your brother stories. You are so delicate turning each page and every so often you look up to make sure we are paying full attention what you are saying. This always brings a smile to my face, seeing the excitement you get from opening a book. You both love to cuddle up and listen to mommy reading you stories. It is very special having you both squeeze into my lap and no matter how squished together you both are, you never complain. This is truly one of the most special moments together and I am so lucky having two page turners.
You both have such strong determination and dedication when you sit down together working on puzzles. These are the most precious moments watching you both interact and get along so well together. One of your favorite toys is your little people farm set. The barn makes sounds when you put the animals in the correct stalls and you both are learning the names and sounds of animals so well. I am very proud of how wonderful you both are growing and learning. Trevor, your favorite words at the moment are “Ma Ma Up- and you raise your arms up to me as you say this. You also love making animal sounds and you love playing with Bagels. Your favorite thing is being held and cuddled. Just yesterday, you started to give me real kisses that don’t involve any licking. For the longest time when you would try to kiss mommy or daddy, you would stick out your tongue and give us a lick as your way of kissing…. These precious baby kisses you give us know with your soft lips are so precious and can make our hearts melt like never before. Tyler your favorite words right know are Ma Ma, da da, making animal sounds, and you have stared singing “Bob the Builder” all over the house. This is so precious. It is so clear that we know exactly what you are saying and it is so adorable especially when you do a little dance as you are saying it… It is so amazing!!!!
My little Trevor, it is so adorable watching you sit at your little picnic table and color. You taste your crayon a few times to make sure that it isn’t food and then you sit and work on your coloring page with such strong determination. Every so often you hold up your paper for me to see and always saw a few words that sound so sweet. You are always so proud of your coloring and love doing small projects.
Trevor, when you get excited you make the most adorable expressions. You say “ohhhhh”and the face you make is so priceless. Tyler when you are excited, you grin from ear to ear and clap your hands, which is also very priceless. You both are very expressive little guys and I am so glad that you are both such happy little boys.
You love songs and singing. Your favorite song right know is the Choo Choo song and you both move your arms back and forth like a train and do the Choo Choo part at the end of the song.. You boys are so amazing to watch and the things you understand is unbelievable. When I ask one of you to give your brother a pretzel or fruit snack, you both do exactly this. It is so amazing how much you have both grown and changed. I am so proud to be your mommy and you are the most precious little boys a mommy could ever have.

Tyler our little sharer
Tyler has become our little sharer.. I guess he shared toys very good in class yesterday… and at home he always seems to go pick up 2 toys and gives one to Trevor…. When it is time to get ready for bed, Tyler goes and grabbed both his blanket and Trevor’s blanket and brings Trevor’s blanket over to him.. He also grabs both bottles and gives the other one to Trevor.. It is so precious…. Tyler has also just started kissing his brother on the cheek… The other day when my mom was out, I guess Tyler did a little trick on Trevor.. Trevor was laying on the floor playing with a toy, so Tyler went over to him, bent down to give Trevor a kiss, which made Trevor giggle and giggle, and at the same time Tyler snuck the toy out of Trevor’s hand… so I guess the kisses may not always be sincere.. ( ha ha)
A DATE WITH DAD
I am so proud of Paul.. He has been attending an ECFE class called “A date with dad” with the kids each Tuesday… I now it is a lot of work taking the kids to class and watching them every second, so I am happy that he is doing this class…He said is gives him a little insight on what I have to go through everyday, which is nice for him to realize….. I am also so glad that Paul and the kids get this time together.. It is something very special.. and I have to say that I am LOVING this time to myself with no kids on my hips or little ones running all over the house.. The kids do circle time where they sing song… Tyler loves this choo choo song that they do and he has even started to move his arm up and down and say choo choo at the ending of the song.. It is so adorable… He sometimes get so excited about the choo choo part that he does it with both had a few times… It just cracks me up!!!! The kids had a great time last night in class.. They made art projects with daddy.. Trevor made a ghost out of shredded paper… He has TONS of practice working with shredded paper.. When he uses the big boy potty, his favorite part if pulling apart the toilet paper roll…. And Tyler made an adorable Pumpkin face on a paper plate.. These are such special projects that I treasure……
Boys learning new things everyday
Tyler has started making TONS of facial expressions that I used to make when I was little.. I have seen pictures from when I was little and it is hilarious seeing those exact expressions on Tyler’s face… My mom had a great time watching this when she come out and stayed with us for a few days… It was so wonderful having her here… I was able to sneak out and get caught up on tons of stuff…. The boys had a great time with their Grandma also and were sad to see her leave……
The boys have started to say a few words… For snack time I sometimes give the kid’s crackers, which they think are cookies”…. Trevor went over to the counter the other day and clear as a bell he said “cookie” as he pointed up to the cracker box…I was so proud of him…. Tyler has been shaking his head “no” for a while when he doesn’t want something.. But now he has also started to shake his head “no” and says no at the same time.. When he does want something head then says “yeah”… It is so cute…. But I found today that when I ask Tyler more than just a simple question, he looks at me all confused and just then says “ma ma”.. It is hilarious!!!!

Last week I we beside myself with the boys… I tried everything and the kids wouldn’t stop pulling on every kitchen cupboard and yanking at all the child safe locks…. I just didn’t now why their behavior had changed so much and what was going on….. My mom had some great parenting advice that maybe the kids needed something such as building blocks rather than all of these toys that just make sounds when you move or push them…. And was she ever right!!!!! I brought in the mega blocks and the boys were completely different kids!!!!! They both sat down with the blocks and started building towers out of them!! I was so impressed and surprised.. These little guys just needed something more challenging to do.. I kept asking myself “why didn’t I think of that.. How simple of a thing to have brought in for the kid..” I also brought in a few puzzles and the kids are already able to accociate between the farm animals and other pictures on the puzzled… I help up a chicken puzzle piece and asked Tyler where it went.. He immediately took the piece and placed it exactly where it should go.. Once they get it on the spot where it should go, they are so so so excited.. I then tell them to turn the piece and they start working with it until it fits… and then the whole house starts clapping…. When Tyler get a piece to fit, Trevor claps and claps and the same happens when Trevor fits the piece in… It is adorable!!!!!

Tyler climbing into cuboard
We had our First Saturday ECFE class called "Once upon a child".. Grandma Nancy came along with us to this class also.... It was a very challenging day at school with the kids... All of the projects were no where near age appropriate for kids our age.. One project delt with glitter and small beads, so this wasn't even safe for our kids... It was so discouraging having to keep telling the boys "no" about touching these art stations, because in an ecfe classroom, you would think it would be age appropriate... They also had a paint station set up.. Trevor took the whole cup of water and dumped that on the floor.. so there really wan't even anything projects that our little guys could safely do..... The kids did have a great time playing with all the new toys, but they sure gave mommy and Grandma Nancy a work out....

All 4 kids napping at the same time!!!!
First day of Waddlers and Toddlers
I have started to take an evening class called Zumba.. This is latin dancing, which is an amazing work out!! We do differnt dance moves for the whole hour and it feel so wonderful!! I love this class and it is so nice having this one hour to myself each week to be kid free!!! There are 70 people in this class and everyone seems to have such a fun time...
Paul is going to be starting an ECFE class with the boys this week called "A date with dad"... Tonight will be his first time going with the kids.. In the past, they never seem to get enough dads, so the class is usually canceled. Paul is really looking forward to it, and I am SO looking foward to taking an hour bath tonight.. I haven't had an evening for myself for 16 months!!!!!
Trevor's special gift to mommy
Today was a VERY special day... Trevor went Potty on the big boy chair!!!! This was the Best Birthday present ever!!! Trevor
had said "potty" to me the day before while we were outside, so I had rushed him to the potty, but nothing happened... Then, the next day he had pulled down his pants and was tugging at his diapers, so I rushed him into the bathroom and he went potty!!!! And this happened to be on my Birthday!!! I was so excited, that my little 15 month old baby used the potty for the first time... He ended up using the potty twice on my Birthday, which was so special!!!Thinking back to before kids, I NEVER would have thought a kid using the potty would be the best gift ever.. Trevor, your gift was so special and you boys mean the world to me...

All Done at the Fair
Tyler's note has our contact info and then says "I can't talk much but I am loved, please find my Mommy and Daddy"..... And Trevors not has the same contact info and then reads "I like to explore and I guess I lost my dad this time. If you could call him I would like that. His name is daddy, but he goes by Paul... These were to cute!!!!!
Tyler had so much fun walking as we headed towards the gate, and even held onto grandma nancy's had like a big boy... Trevor walked for a little while, but ended up getting a ride up on daddy's shoulders... It was a great day and Mommy and Daddy were so proud of our little boys!!!!
Tyler our little bucket head and first taste of cotton candy
The boys love French fries.. We ordered a large bucket of fried and polished off the whole thing!!! They were delicious… After we finished the fries, Tyler wanted to carry the bucket, so daddy put it on his head like a hat.. We called him our little bucket head for the rest of the day… It was so precious and Tyler was so excited about his new hat!!!!!
The kids also had their very first taste of cotton candy… Grandma Nancy asked the cotton candy man if he would make the kids 2 small sticks for the kids.. He did, which was so fun for the kids.. Tyler wasn’t to sure of it at first, but all it took was one lick for him to realize that this stuff is good… Trevor was content sitting in daddy’s lap chewing on his… The place were we stopped to do this also had some neat Indian dancing.. The boys both loved the sounds the costumes were making. It was very neat to see…
Birthing Center and Trevor's 1st pair of sun glasses
The boys had a lot of fun in the birthing center with all those baby animals. Trevor headed over to the baby chickens, which he just loved. He stuck his finger into the cage and the little chicks came right over to him. He just kept his finger in the cage and let the little chick peck at his finger.. It was so precious!! He was so excited and would giggle as the chick pecked at him… It was so so so neat!!! They boys also saw some adorable baby pigs… Tyler pet one of the little pigs, which he thought was very neat… but we thought we should keep Trevor’s little hands away from the pigs since he loves to pat things on the head.. The boys also saw a baby cow, which had the softest nose ever… and there was also a cute baby colt, that was so cute… The kids also saw a baby lamp that had just been born.. It was a very neat experience for the kids.. It will be so fun taking the boys to the fair next year, since they will be able to do even more things…..
In one of the builings, there handin gout sun glasses. Trevor though this was so neat.. He tried them on for a few seconds, and then tried to put them up on his head like his daddy does.... It was very cute.. Tyler was taking his first nap at this point, so he missed out on trying on his first pair of sun glasses, but we picked him out a green pair, that is also very cute......
STATE FAIR TRIP
The kids had a blast at the state fair this year!!! Just 16 months old and already hooked on those delicious cheese curds… What a great way to start out the fair!!! Tyler and Trevor’s expressions were priceless when daddy handed them each their first cheese curd.. It was almost like you could hear them say yummy just through the expressions they made. After their first snack of the day, we took the kids through a few of the fun buildings, where the kids were able to walk around a little.. Those back pack leashes sure worked out great for keeping track of the kids.. There were so many neat statue carving at the fair.. I had the kids sit in front of one that I thought was the most beautiful. It was a mother bear with her baby cub, and the words “new life” were carved into the base of the statue.. It was very precious.. It was very tricky capturing this picture, since there was way to much for the kids to see, that they didn’t want to sit still very long…
Mommy had some fun early in the day also... We were over at the Marines booth and daddy thought it would be fun for me to do the women's bar hanging.. Which was hanging for 70 seconds and you get a t-shirt.. I wasn't to sure about this, since that seems like a long time to have your chin above the bar... But I finally gave in and decided to give it a whirl... It was so so so hard hanging up there, but I DID IT!!!! I held on for about 73 seconds!!! I was so proud and was so glad that I did this!!!! It was neat having your daddy cheering me on and it was very cool getting that t-shirt!!!!!!!

Boy’s Adventure Stories:
This morning, Trevor Monkey decided he would attempt climbing the baby gate into our bedroom and actually made it over…. Well, he did a head dive over the gate, but he did make it into our bedroom… He was so proud of himself that he laid on the floor and started clapping…
And just last week I ran downstairs quick and came back up to find Trevor giggling and clapping as he sat on the kitchen table!!!!! He first climbed onto the kitchen chair and then onto the table.. In this short amount of time, he also experimented with the salt and peppershakers. He found that if you shake them you could make a HUGE mess…. And he also found that an open box of cereal makes an even bigger mess when you tip it over!!!!!!!! Tyler is also becoming a little monkey…
I went downstairs last night to put in a load of laundry, which I seem to do almost every day!!!! And when I came back up, Tyler was giggling as he rocked in my rocking chair… Yes, the boys are able to get up on almost anything…. Tyler learned the other night that if you hang to far over on the edge of the couch you will end up doing a head dive, which is exactly what happened…I saw the whole thing happen in slow motion, which almost gave me a heart attack!!!! Luckily he didn’t get hurt, just VERY scared…
