KITTENS

Gracie had Kittens last night! The boys were beyond excited when they woke up this morning to find the new kittens. They looked into the cat house and just started to scream with joy that baby Gracie had kittens. Trevor pulled out the calico kitten and said "this is my kitten Calico".... and Tyler's kitten is orange. They both decided that they each want a kitten and that Grandma in South Dakota needs 2 kittens on their farm.

Gooseberry Falls First Camping Trip with the Boys

We took our first camping trip with the kids to Gooseberry falls! When we arrived at the campsite, the boys had fun helping daddy set up the tent. After it was all set up, the kids ran like crazy around and through the tent playing. It was such a perfect night with very few bugs and very peacefull. We headed on the trail towards the lake. The kids had fun playing in the rocks and water. Then we headed toward the path up to the falls. Along the way Tyler and I spotted a squirrel making noises, but didn't realize that we were standing less than 10 feet from a fox! It sat there for the longest time just watching us and then stood up to stretch and wondered off... It was very neat to see! The walk to the walls was beautiful and so peacefull. The kids were very excited when they spotted the first water walls and loved putting their hands and feet into the water. We walked 3 miles that night! What amazing little hikers!!!! When we got back to the campside, daddy started the campfire and it wasn't long before we had 2 little ones asleep in our arms. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening!!! After a good night sleep we woke up and hit the falls, where the kids had a blast playing in the water. Afterwards we found a quiet picnic spot and ate some lunch and spent rest of the day enjoying gooseberry falls. This was a perfect family Getaway!

Having the Time of Their Lives

The boys were so excited to be on the road heading to grandma and papa's house! I knew it was going to be a long drive when the kids asked me if we were there yet. At this point we weren't even through princeton!

When we finally arrived in SD, the boys flew into Grandma and Papa arms, and then were off to see the Tractor. Everything looked so beautiful with flowers in full bloom. Grandma and Papa's garden looked amazing! We had so much fun picking raspberries and fresh vegtables. The boys favorite is picking peas and eating them right in the garden. Papa had fixed up the swing that I used when I was little and had it ready for the boys. They squealed as they went higher and higher on the swing. It felt so wonderful going back home and spending a few days on the farm!

Tyler and Trevor's 3rd Birthday Party

I can't believe you boys are 3 years old!! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing you both home from the hospital and we were feeling overwhelmed with joy and not knowing what to expect with raising a baby, let alone twins!!! Well, we have made it 3 whole years!! Things sure have been exciting, rewarding, challenging, unpredicitable, and most of all wonderful! You boys are our world and we love you SO much! We love spending time with you and watching you both grow into amazing little people. You are amazing boys who each have develped your own personalities that make you so special. We are so proud of our special boys Tyler and Trevor and love you with our whole heart!!

Your birthday was so special spending the day with family, eating great food, cake, opening presents, playing with bubbles, flying kites and then finally watching you both crash after a fun-filled day. Happy Birthday my precious boys!!!!

Boys at Goose Lake Fishing

We took the boys over to Goose Lake fishing a few times this week. They each casted their lines a few times, but nothing compared to them chasing the minos in the bucket! Paul caught a very small fish that he threw back, but the boys sured yelled with excitiment when daddy caught the fish! Such a wonderful time!!

Minnesota Zoo

What a fun-filled day at MN zoo!!! We started in the Tropics Trail and saw the cuttest Red Panda, otters, seals, snow monkeys, Komodo Dragon, Camels, Tigers, Gibbons,and tons more. The walk through each trail was awesome being surrounded by trees and all the different animals to enjoy along the trails. We took the free tractor ride over to the Family Farm, where the boys fed goats and sheep and saw some huge cows. They even had a tractor sitting out for kids to climb on. Tyler and Trevor spotted that right away!

We had a great picinic lunch and headed out to more trails. One of the neatest animals to watch were the bears and the boys had fun pulling grass to feed the prairie dogs. Towards the end of the trail they had a fun woodland adventure area with water gysers for kids to play in. The boys had a blast running through the water....

It was a perfect day and everyone had SO much fun!!!!! Trevor fell asleep as soon as we got him settled in the van. Tyler tried so hard to stay awake and finally fell asleep just a few miles from home.... We all will sleep great tonight after that LONG hike!!!
