Fun In Class

The kids were so excited about going to their Amazing Babies class this morning. We had to miss class last week due to colds, so they were so happy to be able to see their friends today.. I had picked out come cute clothes for the kids last night, but found out this morning that the outfits didn't fit anymore...Great.. another things to remind me how fast they boys are growing.. We got to class a little early, so the kids had the whole room to themselves for using the walkers. I was so impressed by how fast Tyler was able to keep up with the thing. He was so proud and excited of himself also, and just kept smiling and giggling as he walked. Trevor thought the walker looked exciting also and tried to hold onto Tylers shoulders as he walked. It was so adorable!!!!
Trevor found an exciting toy in the toy box that he held onto for the whole class time. It was so adorable watching him crawl all around the place carrying his toy. Tyler played for a little while, but after songs he fell asleep in my arms. Trevor had so much fun in class today that he didn't want to leave. When it was time to put on snow suits, he just looked up at me like "Its not time to go yet, is it?"... It was very cute..

Late Night Together

It was so nice outside yesterday that the boys and I were finally able to go for a stroller ride up and down the driveway. It was still a little windy out there, so the ride was short.. But at least we were able to get out of the house and get some fresh air....
Last night we put the kids in the same crib again. They seem to fall asleep so much better and sleep longer when they are next to eachother. I guess they like hearing eachother breathe and the noises they make as they fall asleep must be so soothing for eachother. When I went into their room this morning, I saw the most precious thing.. The boys were fast alseep and were both spread out in the crib at oppisite end.. When I wispered "goodmorning", Tyler gave me the most adorable smile, as he lay there still sleeping.....It was so so so precious.

Saturday

The boys colds are almost gone... so I sure hope they get into their normal routine of just waking once during the night.. I went into the nursery last night to find Tyler standing in his crib with his eyes closed.. It was so adorable!!! I reached in and picked the little guy up. He instantly dropped his head on my shoulder and was sound asleep. There is nothing more precious than holding a sleeping baby. Their soft breathing is so soothing...

The boys had a busy morning. They first helped Daddy get ready for his wrestling tournament by pulling his wrestling shoe into the kitchen and chewing on the laces. The boys just love shoe laces and any kind of string they can find... Then they both sat in amazement in the kitchen watching me make baby food. Trevor was startled by the sound of the blender, but he soon became very curious of the sound and wanted me to lift him up so he could see what was making the sound. I blended up some sweet potatoes, pears, peaches and other mixed fruit. The boys seemed to love the pears mixed in with their cereal.. They will be trying the sweet potatoes for lunch and some peaches for dessert..

The kids took a long morning nap, which was so so so nice. It is so hard to get the simple things done during the day, so you sure have to take advantage of the time you have while the kids are napping..

Message from us

Well, Mommy is busy folding laundry this morning, so she is letting Tyler and me update the blog... We are feeling much better, but still have runny noses.. We kept mommy up alot last night and I mean alot!!! Tyler and me had such big appetites and our bottles just seemed to empty so fast.. Tyler tried to wake up the whole house last night by standing up in his crib and squealing at the top of his lungs.... Gosh, he was so loud that it made me jump.. I then stood up in my crib and began making noise also, since my brother seemed to know what he was doing.... It took just second and mommy was in our room... Trevor wanted to get Mommy's attention as soon as she walked into our room, so he threw his bottle on the floor along with his blanket. Mommy thought it was so precious that she picked him up out of his crib first.. Gosh, if I had only thought of that I would have been the hit of the show. I guess me standing there waving my empty bottle at her just wasn't enough.. ( ha ha)... Mommy took both of us out into the living room to play for a little while while she pumped, since neither of us were tired.... Trevor wanted to go into the jumperoo and I found a fun toy that made noise on the floor.. I wonder what Daddy thought of all the noise we made? After we played for a while, we then had to go back to bed... We slept for a while after that, which I think mommy was very happy about.... Well, I think Trevor and I are going to head back upstairs to play.... I am so glad we were able to help mommy with this today!!!

Playing Ball

Last evening I sat Trevor on the floor and rolled him a ball... He grabbed onto it with both of his hands, looked up at me, and rolled the ball back.. I couldn't belive it!!! I tired it a few more times and he definetly understood that he needed to grab the ball when it rolled to him and then roll it back.... I then tried the same thing with Tyler.. He also grabbed the ball, looked at it, and rolled it back to me... When they did this I would clap and say good job, which then got them both clapping.. It was so adorable!!!!

Just Needed His Brother

The kids were very restless last night.. They both are still getting over their colds and were very conjested and fussy.. When Tyler woke up he didn't want to be in his crib and just sat there crying. I tried bringing him into our bed, but he just tossed all over the place and didn't seem interested in sleeping.... Since I know heard Trevor awake in his crib, I decided to take Tyler back to the nursery and stick both kids in the same crib.... It was SO SO SO adorable!!!! That was all they needed.... Tyler and Trevor both fell back to sleep right away and they even shared the same blanket... It was so adorable!!!!!!!!

9 Months Old

WOW!! Where did the time go???? I can't belive my little boys are already 9 months old!!!!!!!!! It is so hard to believe that they both used to share a crib, could both sleep in the top part of the play pen, only drank 2-3 ounces of milk, used to fit in a small wash basin for their baths, I could run downstairs to do laundry and when I got back they would both be laying in the exact same spot I had left them in.... They have changed so much!!! It is amazing to think of all the changes these little guys went through in 9 months!!!!! They are able to crawl, pull themselves up by holding anything, tear apart the cuboards, play with Bagels and the cats, eat baby food, play independently and together, crawl to me when they need a cuddle, giggle histerically to the game peek a boo, can recognize new people, interact with other babies, and the list just goes on and on..... Before I know it, I will be planning their first Birthday party..... I just wish time would slow down so I can have these moments with the boys last even longer...... It is amazing also thinking of all the changes we have gone through with having twins... I remember when I used to work down in the cities and had to wake up at 4 in the morning.... I used to think that wasn't enough sleep.... Well, when you have twins, you truely find out what no sleep means.... When you become a parent, you truely see what you are made of and everything changes in your life for the better!!!!!! I am so happy being a mom and feel so blessed having Tyler and Trevor!!!!!!

Colds, Colds, and more Colds

Well, we are all under the weather with colds again... The poor kids have such runny noises and sound all conjested when they make babbling sounds...But they sure are troopers.. They both still wake up in the morning with huge smiles on their faces!!! They look so adorable standing up in their cribs holding out their arms waiting patiently for their morning hugs...
We all felt so miserable the other night and didn't get the boys to fall asleep until around midnight... We decided to just take the kids into our room and hopefully that would help them sleep.. It sure was a cozy night.. Around 6:00 I woke up to Tyler pulling at my hair... He was awake and ready for some breakfast.. Even though they are under the weather, they sure still have appetites...

Bath Time

Trevor was so adorable the other night after his bath... He kept crawling back to the bathroom and would stand at the tub and just giggle... He wanted to get back into the tub so bad.... When we would take him out of the bathroom, he would begin to cry and fuss.... He had so much fun during bathtime that he didn't want to get out... It was so adorable.... Tyler also loves bath time, but he is content after his bath if he has a rubber duck to chew on....

Valentine’s Day With Twins

The boys were slightly fussy last evening, but we thought the boys may enjoy getting out of the house and that it would be fun to eat super at Perkins.... Well.... The evening didn't go all that well... The restraunt was very crowded, but we found a table near the back so if the boys did get loud, it wouldn't disturb as many people.... At first the boys had fun hitting at the table and seemed to be having fun... That was until our food came..... Tyler thought of a sneaky strategy, He would throw his toy on the floor and as I would bend down to pick them back up, he would grab at my salad and ended up getting his fingers all covered in salad dressing....Trevor started to get a cold the night before, so he was all plugged up and sounded so congested. He ate all of his food like a good little boy, and then just seemed like he wanted to cuddle...So you can imagine how the meal went.. Both of us were holding a squacking kid, trying to eat ourselves, and trying to keep their little fingers out of the food.... We did this for a little while and decided it would be easier to just take the food to go.... I am so glad we did because the restraunt got even more crowded and the kids were very unhappy with being there............ When we got home and put the kids in the living room, Tyler sat there with the biggest smile on his face.. It was so adorable as if saying "You both weren't very bright to bring us to such a crowded place, you know we get over excited when we see alot of people" ...... While we ate the rest of our super, the boys pulled out their toys and by the time we finished eating the kids were ready to cuddle and be rocked to sleep....

Adventerous Boys

The boys were helping me fold laundry last night.. Well, actully Tyler was pulling out the clothes that I had already folded and Trevor was helping by standing holding onto the laundry basket, and would pull clothes out and hand them to Trevor... It was a fun team effort!!!! After all of the clothes were folded and in the laundry basket, Trevor quickly realized that if he put his weight into it, he could make the laundry basket move.. I stood in amazement as I watched Trevor walk all over the place pushing the laundry basket. He realized that the laundry basket worked just like a walker and his huge smile sure showed how proud he was of himself.... It is so precious to watch them discover new things and it is priceless to see the excitment in their faces!!!

Breakfast

Today at breakfast Tyler desperatly wanted to use the spoon to feed himself.. So I would hold his hand and put some food on the spoon, which he would then put into his mouth.. It was so adorable, but also very messy and gosh breakfast sure took alot longer. (ha ha ha)..... He is getting to be such a big boy.. and is starting to be more independent.. This sure isn't easy on a mom!!!!
Trevor has started to make all sorts of noises with his mouth and has found it to be very entertaining for himself to experiment with these noises while eating.... Last night he wouldn't stop sticking out his tongue and would breathe out, which caused food to spay out everywhere. He thought it was hilarious to see my reaction when he did this.. The fist few times I have to admit were adorable... But after you get good all over your face, it starts to loose the cuteness...

Valentines

Today in Amazing Babies, the kids made their Daddies Valentines. They painted their feet with red paint and put their food prints on construction paper that was in the shape of a heart. Tyler went first and seemed to love the paint squished between his toes. Trevor also seemed to like the paint being brushed on his feet, but realized his right food was very ticklish…. It was so adorable watching him curl up his toes as the paint went on his foot… The Valentines turned out very cute and of course I put them up on the fridge as soon as I got home. The boys had alot of fun playing with the other kids and seemed to have forgotten that they were missing their normal 9:00 nap. Recently the boys have begun to only wake up once during the night and this new routine they are on seems to make them less fussy during the day...

Trevor Helping Mommy

This morning both boys had very dirty diapers. Trevor was getting very fussy so I changed him first. After he was changed, he was ready to start getting into mischief. I then started changing Tyler and just as I was about to reach over to get a diaper off of the changing table, Trevor handed me a diaper. He had been standing next to the changing table and was holding out a diaper. I took it from him and said "thank you Trevor" He gave me the biggest smile as if he knew what he had done. He seemed so proud to help mommy....

Finally Mommy Gets Some Sleep

The boys are FINALLY getting on a normal sleep routine!!! For the past 3 days, they are just waking once during the night. I am so excited to finally get some sleep during the night. I actully woke up this morning around 7:00 and was in shock that both boys were still in bed!!! I hardely knew what to do with myself. I actully had time to make some coffee and even eat some toast. The boys have been eating us out of the house today. Must be another growth spirt... They first had a ton of cereal for breakfast and for lunch they ate 3 containers of the step 2 foods and even finished all of their dessert!!! What good eaters!!!

Pick A Duck

Today in our Amazing Babies class, the boys played Pick a Duck. They had a small plastic pond set up with water and tons of rubber ducks. Both boys stood holding onto the edge of the pond. I barely had time to roll up the kid's sleves, before Trevor began splashing water all over the place. Another little boy Jack, who was standing on the opposite side of Trevor watched Trevor in amazement. Jack couldn't belive how much fun Trevor was having, so he joined in. Jack was just about to pick his duck out of the water when Trevor splashed both hands into the water. Jack let go of his duck and stood there motionless as water ran down his face. I don't think Jack had anticipated that the game would get his so wet. Everyone got a good laugh!!! Tyler had fun playing in the water also, but he had a different method for catching the rubber ducks. Tyler preferred sneaking up on them and then using both hands to quickly pull the duck out of the water. It was so adorable watching him concontrate as boy was he proud of himself when he finally brought that duck out of the water.....

Middle of the Night

Tyler and Trevor sure seem to get a burst of energy in the middle of the night. Last night I could hear alot of noise coming from the nursery, so I went to check on the boys. The boys seemed to be carrying on a whole converstion with eachother. They were both grinning ear to ear and were chattering away. I tried to sneak out of the nursery, but as I did both boys began to fuss. I ended up taking them both into the living room with me as I pumped... They kept me company for a little while and then headed off to their room. After I finished pumping I went to see what they were up to and found tons of diapers all over the place, along with bedding pulled off of the changing table. They both thought it was hilarious and were giggling up a storm when I walked in. Luckily they both had worn themselves out and went back to bed without any problems...

Standing Tall

This evening, while we were at the table eating supper, Paul said "Look at Trevor"!!!!...I looked over to see Trevor standing all by himself!!!!! Trevor was standing there holding a small toy with both of his hands and was grinning from ear to ear. He was so proud of himself!!! He stood there for about a minute before he sat back down on his bottom. He looked so tiny to be doing that!!!

grocery store

The boys had so much fun grocery shopping today. We pushed them around the store in one of those carts that is shaped like a car. It was so perfect because these carts can fit 2 kids in them, and they also have 2 steering wheels. Trevor squeeled with excitement as he grapped a hold of both steering wheels. Tyler didn't seem to mind that Trevor was using his steering wheel, but once Tyler realized how fun it was to make the horn squeek, he became very interested. Everyone who saw the boys thought it was so adorable and they recieved many smiles from people as they walked by. The boys were so well-behaved and we all had alot of fun!!!

Shaking head "no"

While feeding the boys their evening cereal, Tyler began smirking and shaking his head when we asked him if he wanted more. It was the most adorable thing!!!! Paul and I both busted out laughing.... and since Tyler knew he was getting a reaction out of us, he kept doing it.. Trevor then noticed that Tyler was getting all of the attention, so he then also began doing the same thing. It was so hilarious!!!!

Amazing Babies Class

Our favorite day of the week are Wednesdays. The boys and I love our Amazing babies class and feel so lucky to be able to attend it. It is so fun being able to talk with other moms about our kids and also being able to learn different ideas that may help with parenting. The best part of this class was meeting another young mom Tina and her daugher Samantha. We have been setting up weekly play dates which is so wonderful for our kids and also for us moms. It is so nice being able to have another mom to talk with, who is also going through the similar things...

Precious Moments

Tyler and Trevor are such happy boys. The most precious moments are in the early mornings when the boys stand in their cribs talking to one another. Trevor always has the biggest grin when I walk into their nursery and Tyler always raises his arms for a morning hug. There is nothing more precious than 2 happy babies in the morning.
Another precious moment is bath time. Both boys love their baths!!! Grandma Nancy got the boys some neat rubber duckies that flash colors when they are place in the water. Both boys love these!! Tyler splashes the water like crazy trying to grab them. Trevor isn't as interested in splashing. He prefers sticking his tongue out to eat the water as it runs down his face. He loves the shower nozzle also, and loves to bite at the water when it hits his body!!! This is so precious and hilarious to see!!!!!!!

8 months old

I can't belive how fast our twins are growing!!! Tyler and Trevor are know 8 months old and are making new discoveries everyday. It is so amazing watching the boys ineract and play. They get such joy out of simple things, such as an empty pop bottle or milk jug. We sure could have saved alot of money on toys if we have know the joy they get out of the simple things. ( ha ha)..
Nothing is safe from Tyler and Trevors fingers. They both crawl like fast beatles all over the place. The boys try to help mommy everyday by brining the folded laundry out into the living room and also pulling the diapers off the changing table. The boys seem to think that diapers are more handy to have all over the place, than to be neatly organized on the changing table.
Tyler and Trevor love to pull themselves up on everything and they seem to think it is funny to make me worry. It scares me to watch them stand under the kitchen table. I get so worried they are going to let go and will land on their heads. Just yesterday Tyler thought it would be fun to push our kitchen bar stools across the floor. It was sure adorable to see as he looked at me with a huge grin on his face..I can't belive all the things that babies get into...
